For more than 25 years they lived with their family in the rain, sun and cold on the banks of the Noyyal River in Tirupur. However, the 35 families who were living along the banks of the Noyyal River, have been allotted homes.

At the initiative of K. Selvaraj, Secretary, Tirupur Central District Corporation and Member, Tirupur South Legislative Assembly, Tirupur Central Tamil Nadu Urban Housing Development Board, at the initiative of the Tirupur Central District Corporation, for preparing and selling the finale required for the toilets, the ESWA was required to pay the remaining contribution to the flats constructed in the Veerapandi project area.

With the full participation of the Director of the Company, Sadiq, the Government allotted each of them a house there according to the chits taken by them at a function held at the Tirupur Corporation office premises. District Co-Secretary Annan K. Selvaraj handed over the electricity deposit of Rs.1.5-lakhs for the 35 families from his own funds to the Electricity Officer at the same event
