Coimbatore: The Retired Persons Welfare Organization of Coimbatore district TNSTC has sought the district collector to put forth their multiple demands to the Chief Minister through their petition.
The Coimbatore District Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Retired Persons Welfare Organisation has submitted a petition to the CM through the Coimbatore District Collector.
The petitioners sought the Collector to urge the Chief Minister to fulfill their demands including:-
1.The invoice allowance pending from 2016 should be increased.
2.Implementation of health insurance scheme for retired transport corporation employees.
3.The government should allocate funds for pension in the budget.
4.Cancel the new pension scheme.
5.Increase the medical allowance from Rs.100 to Rs.300.
6.Minimum pension of Rs.7,850 should be paid to family pensioners.
The petitioners who arrived at the Collector’s office led by the District Organization’s General Secretary, stated that the demands were placed by more than 5,000 employees in Coimbatore. They urged the Coimbatore District Collector to convey these needs to the Chief Minister MK Stalin.
