Coimbatore: Podanur Railway Police received information that a 30-year-old youth was hit and killed by a train near Kurumbapalayam on the Podanur Railway track in Madukkarai, Coimbatore. Railway Inspector Sabari and the police went to the spot, seized the body of the youth and sent it for autopsy.
The deceased has a tattoo on his right chest. His identity and where he belonged to is still unknown. Police are investigating whether the train collided while he was crossing the tracks or committed suicide.
