Coimbatore: The dengue field workers have intensified the door-to-door inspection in the Coimbatore city, in view of preventing the spread of Dengue.
As per the orders of Corporation Commissioner, Raja Gopal Sunkara, the health department steps up on Dengue vigil. The cement tanks, plastic containers, water storage tanks should be cleaned with bleaching powders, instructed frontline workers.
The Aedes Mosquitoes breed in clean water, and thus the possible spots where water stagnates, such as plastic containers, flower pots must be prevented from water logging, the officials inform. A private apartment in South Zone Ward 79, was imposed a penalty of ₹.10,000 due to the detection of excess larva mosquito worms causing spread of Dengue, stated the Commissioner and Special Officer of the Corporation, Raja Gopal Sunkara.
