Coimbatore: Awareness camp on the need to wear a helmet was held at the Government Vocational Training Center in Dharapuram, Tirupur District, jointly organized by the Traffic and Law Enforcement Guards.
During the event, students were introduced to traffic regulations and law and order issues. Then students must obey traffic rules while walking on the road, and students under the age of 18 must not ride two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
At the awareness sessions, participants were informed that riders should not wear helmets when going out with friends. At present it is wrong for a large number of students in Tamil Nadu are subjected to sexual harassment and commit suicide. Students were advised that if any unfamiliar friends or relatives try to mislead them, they should immediately inform their parents, or at the nearest female police and women's police station and boldly report the matter.
