Coimbatore: The Communist Party of India (CPI) staged a protest in the Valparai Gandhi statue area in Coimbatore district, condemning the central government for the spike in petrol and diesel cooking gas prices.
In Tamil Nadu, the price of petrol, diesel and cooking gas is increasing by the day and the common man is greatly affected. The public is severely impacted as the price of 1 litre of petrol is hovering around 106 rupees, 1 litre of diesel is sold for 102 rupees and cooking gas costs 1100 rupees.
Rental of heavy vehicles has increased due to high diesel prices and the trucks increasing rent affects food prices too. Thus, people are getting into deeper financial crises.
