40178 people benefit through the scheme in Tirupur in the last three years.
Tirupur: The Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme of the Chief Minister was merged with Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna. Todaymarked three years since the merge and owing to that a function was held at the Collector’s office in Tirupur.
Minister of Information and Publicity, MP Saminathan presided over the event. He stated that in the last three years, 40,178 people benefited through the scheme and the cost so far has been 92.64 crores.
The minister further stated that “Treatments are being given in 3 government hospitals and 28 private hospitals. Four government hospitals and one other private hospital has been permitted additionally for treatments.

A total of40,178 people benefited from this scheme in Tirupur in the last three years, at a cost of 92.64 lakhs. Momentos of appreciation were presented to the workers for exemplary work and those benefiting from the scheme.
Tirupur South MLA Selvaraj and officials were present during the event.
