Coimbatore: A 16-year old girl was rescued near Pollachi by the All Women's Police Station team.
Bhupathi (26) from Udumalai and a 16-year old girl from Pollachi were reportedly in a relationship. For the past two days, Bhupathi had been insisting that the girl get married to him. When the girl was missing suddenly, the girl's parents lodged a complaint at the All Women's Police Station.
An investigation into the complaint revealed that Bhupathi had taken the girl promising to marry her and sexually harassed her. Police later rescued the girl from Bhupathi and arrested Bhupathi under the POCSO Act.
