IT officials raid 103 locations of leading Textile Stores including Pothys and Chennai silks

The Income Tax Department on Tuesday raided the premises of leading textile showrooms including Pothys and Chennai silks.


Coimbatore: The Income Tax Department on Tuesday raided the premises of leading textile showrooms including Pothys and Chennai silks.

According to preliminary reports 103 locations belonging to popular textile showrooms across Tamil Nadu were subjected to IT raid, following complaints of alleged tax evasion.



Presently, 6 places belonging to Pothys Pvt ltd, 4 places of Chennai silks, 1 place belonging to Nalli silks and 2 locations of RMKV silks are being raided.

However, there are no officials reports on any documents or unaccounted cash seized.
