Coimbatore: Judicial arbitrator Lok Adalat Judge SP Kavitha presided over the hearing at the National Lok Adalat in Valparai, Coimbatore yesterday. Attorneys R.R.Perumal. Muthusamy and Murugan took the lead. 53 cases were taken up for hearing including check fraud cases, alimony cases, motor vehicle minor cases.
Of these, 41 cases were settled and closed and fines were imposed. In cheques and alimony cases Rs. 9,39,600 / - was collected and handed over to the rightful owners.
