Karumathampatti, Karamadai, Gudalur, Madhukkarai town panchayats are being planned to be upgraded.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran during the grants demand meeting held on 24th of August, on behalf of the Municipal Administration Department’s budget for the FY 2021- 22, 4 town panchayats were named within the Coimbatore region for upgrading into Municipality.
A meeting will be held ahead of the event, at the Collector’s office on 14thto receive the opinions for upgrading Karumathampatti, Karamadai, Gudalur, and Madhukkarai Town panchayats. The meeting will be headed by the District Collector of Coimbatore
The former President and members of the respective town panchayats, elected president, members, district panchayat committee president, members, panchayat union president, and members of village panchayats, in-charges of a recognized political party, public, volunteers and representatives of the residential association will participate and their views shall be discussed.
