Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspected ongoing development work and ordered to expedite development work to be carried out in the South Zone of the city.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Commissioner and Special Officer, Raja Gopal Sunkara inspected the ongoing development work in the South Zone of the city and ordered the speedy completion of the development work.
He inspected the reconstruction and renovation work of the pond being carried out to beautify the pond at a distance of 3.85 km in the base-1 area of Ukkadam Periyakulam under the Smart city project of the South Zone of Coimbatore Corporation. He also visited the reconstruction and improvement works around the Kurichi pond. He ordered the concerned officers to complete the work expeditiously.
The CCMC Commissioner also inspected Ukkadam Ward No.86 for the construction work of a water tank with a capacity of 22 lakhs in a budget of Rs. 2.5 crores in BSUP area. He inspected the work of testing the concrete strength of the water tank being constructed on the premises by machine and instructed the officers to complete the work expeditiously. During the inspection, Project Engineer Gnanavelu, South Zone Assistant Commissioner Sundarajan, Assistant Chief Engineer Karuppusamy, Assistant Engineer Saravanakumar, 24 Hour Drinking Water Project Management Advisory Committee Chairman Gopalakrishnan, Zonal Health Officer Ramu and Assistant Engineers, Corporation officials were also present.
