Disaster management and emergency response training was held at the Kurichi Lake in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: The Fire and Rescue Services Department’s training program for disaster management was conducted at the Kurichi lake in Coimbatore.
The Tamilnadu Disaster Management team was provided guidance on what to do during unusual calamities like heavy rains or floods, and how to rescue public during such calamities. 60 members of the Disaster Management Team from Chennai attended the training. In the first phase, training was provided on how to rescue somebody stuck in the waters or being washed away. Identification of hazards and tackling of emergencies were also elaborated during the program.
