Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police have registered a case against Coimbatore Maoist Veeramani under the Unlawful Activities (UAPA) Prevention Act.
Five Maoists were arrested by the Q Division police in 2015 as he was plotting illegal activities near Karumathampatti in Coimbatore.
One of them is Veeramani (23) from Cuddalore. He was then released on conditional bail in 2020. Meanwhile, Veeramani had lodged a complaint with the District Collector in 2020 alleging that the police were harassing him and that tehy continued to harass him wherever he went.
