Grand festival held at city's Congress office to commemorate birth anniversaries of Kamarajar, Rajiv Gandhi, VOC
Coimbatore:Coimbatore South District Congress Committee held a grand festival to commemorate the birth anniversaries of Kamarajar, Rajiv Gandhi and V O Chidambaram Pillai at the Kurichi Area 97th division, on Monday.
Vice President Etimadai Nandakumar hoisted the party flag at the festival. TheDeputy Chairman of Coimbatore South District Congress Committee, Kaleeswaran presided over the event at the Congress office in Madhukarai Road, in Coimbatore.
The Coimbatore South District Congress Committee President, Bagawati participated and paid tributes to V O Chidambaram Pillai on his 150th birth anniversary and presented welfare assistance to the frontline workers.
Kurichi Circle Congress Committee President Muruganathan, 97th Division President Ezra, Vice President Subramani and others were present at the function.
