Petition to provide affordable housing to landless people living in Thondamuthur, Kuniyamuthur, Perur and Karumbukkadai in Coimbatore district
Coimbatore: A petition was filed todaywith the Coimbatore District Collector, led by Viduthalai Siruthaigal Thondamuthur constituency secretary Mohammad Ali, to provide affordable housing and space to the homeless.
Following this, Susi Kalaiyarasan, Regional Organizing Secretary of Viduthalai Siruthaigal spoke to reporters in front of the District Collector's Office.
He said, “There have been several petitions for housing or accommodation for various day labourers living in Thondamuthur, Kuniyamuthur, Perur and Karumbukkadai in Coimbatore district. People living in this area live together as two or three families in a single home. They have been issued family cards, Aadhar cards, voter ID cards by the government, but not just housing."
Therefore, a petition has been filed with the Coimbatore District Collector seeking immediate land patta for these people. They have demanded immediate action on the petition of the petitioners and grant them a housing patta. Viduthalai Siruthaigal Thondamuthur constituency secretary Mohammad Ali, regional organization secretary Susi Kalaiyarasan and Rahmat Nisha, on behalf of the women's wing, were also present.
