Coimbatore: Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Salem, Erode, Tenkasi, and 6 more places will have rain for 5 days as there are cyclonic symptoms in the Bay of Bengal, IMD forecasted on Monday and certain regions in the Western Ghats to get thunderstorms due to the South West Monsoon.
Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindugal, Tenkasi regions will have heave rains and regions close to these districts will have mild rains.
Slight to moderate downpour on the 8th at Coastal regions, Pondicherry, Karaikkal, and these regions and southern districts to get moderate rainfall on the 9th and 10th.
Cyclonic winds may blow at 40 to 50 kmph in the West and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal due to low pressure in the Northwest and adjoining Central West Bengal Sea.
In addition, the IMD has warned fishermen not to venture into the sea for fishing on these dates as strong winds will blow at 40 to 50 kmph in Kerala and Karnataka coast, Lakshadweep regions, Southwest and Central West Arabian Sea from today till 10th.
