Tourists places remained shut for the past 6 months due to Covid
Coimbatore: Tourists from Coimbatore, Tiruppur gathered eagerly at Kovai Kutralam gates as the place was opened for tourists post lockdown.
Most tourists spots in Tamil Nadu was shut due to the pandemic. The major tourist hub in Coimbatore region, Kovai Kutralam opened gates today after 6 months.
The Police were in constant watch to scrutinize the tourists and were directing them to follow proper guidelines.
The tourists were allowed access to the waterfalls with 30 minutes. Tourists were allowed on a batch basis, while one set waited with one set allowed entrance.
The public was also prohibited from standing for long periods on the roads leading to the waterfall.
Tourists were monitored from crowding, possession of Covid Test reports, vaccination certificates. 150 people were allowed every half an hour in the waterfall.
