All three Class 9 students from the city's Government High School in Sultanpet who had tested positive for Covid-19 had no symptoms but were admitted to ESI Hospital
Coimbatore: As schools across Tamil Nadu reopened with enthusiastic students thronging campuses since September 1, students in Classes 9-10 were also being tested for Covid-19 in schools.
During one such test at a Government High School in Sultanpet, Coimbatore district, three students from Class 9 were confirmed to have been infected by Covid-19. All three have been admitted to Coimbatore ESI Hospital for treatment.
Monday has been declared as a holiday to sanitise the school premises. The Health Department is set to conduct Coronavirus tests for students who have been in contact with the three students at Sultanpet Government High School. It is to be noted that all the three infected students had no symptoms.
