Two youth working in a transport company in the city died on the spot when a van collided into their two-wheeler in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Akshay Kumar (23), the son of Suresh Babu from Kasaragod, Kerala and Amul (26), son of Radhakrishnan from Palakkad, Kerala worked for KRS Transport and were living in a house in front of the Panchayat office in Othakkalmandapam area.
When both were returning home after work, a truck collided head-on with their two-wheeler on the Palladam-Chettipalayam road. Akshay Kumar and Amul (pillion) were thrown off their two-wheeler and were found lying on the roadside in a pool of blood. Passers-by immediately called for an ambulance, but both died tragically on the spot.

Upon information, the Chettipalayam police led by Inspector Madhaiyyan rushed to the spot. The corpses of both youth who died in the accident were sent to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy. Senthilkumar (43), son of Subramanian of Chettipalayam area who was driving the van has been arrested and is being investigated for speeding which was the main cause for the accident.
