A couple consumed poison and ended their lives after receiving a picture of their daughter's wedding on WhatsApp number.
Coimbatore: Ponnusamy (65) and his wife Sumathi (55) lived in Kunnathur Poyampalayam area, near Tirupur. Their daughter Janani is a third year student of Physiotherapy at a private college in Coimbatore. On Sunday night, Janani reportedly sent a photo of her marriage with her lover in Coimbatore to her father's WhatsApp number.
Heartbroken at seeing the picture of their daughter, Ponnusamy and Sumathi consumed poison by mixing it in bananas. The couple were found dead when neighbours had to break into the house since they had not been seen outside for a long time since morning. The police are conducting an investigation based on the information given to the Kunnathur police.
