Even as Covid-19 vaccination drives have been intensified, the following are the venues for the Covid-19 Vaccination Camp in Valparai today
Coimbatore: Covishield vaccinations will be administered at the Covid-19 vaccination camps being held in Valparai today. Tea plantation areas in Valparai area have been allotted vaccine stock.
The number of vaccines allotted are as follows:
BPTC (250), Woodbriar Group Murugan Estate (200), Injiparai Estate (300), Nallakattu Estate (200), Stanmore Estate (250), Hospital (300), Manika Estate (250), Shekelmudi Estate (120), Jayashree Estate (50), Waterfall Estate (100), High Forest Estate (100), Periya Karumalai Group Vellamalai Estate (70), Vellamalai LT (30), Karumalai (40), Nadumalai (20), Akkamalai (55), Kanchamalai (35), Shakthi / Thalanar (50), Dandy (150), Upasi (50), Valparai Government Primary Health Center (100), Mudi's Primary Health Center (100) and Sholayar Nagar Primary Health Center (100). A total of 3000 doses of Covishield are to be administered on Monday.
The first and second doses of Covishield vaccine are being administred to those over 18 years of age. Covishield second dose beneficiaries ought to have a gap of 84 days between the first dose and the second dose.
Valparai Regional Resource Center Chief, Dr. Babu Lakshmanan encouraged residents in Valparai to avail of the vaccine drive at the 24-hour vaccination centre at the Valparai Government Hospital. He also advised all those who have not been vaccinated to get vaccinated.
