Government bus collapses in the route; luckily passengers escape
Coimbatore: A government bus ran into the mud in the route where flyover works are in progress in the Periyanayakkanpalayam.
The incident triggered fear in the passengers and passers-by. The public have been raising demands for remedies to avoid such mishaps.
High negligence and lack of accountability in the flyover works in Periyanayakenpalayam is causing tons of troubles to the people.
A flyover is under construction between Ramakrishna Mission VidyalayaandSamichettipalayam Division at Periyanayakanpalayam (1.4 km) on Coimbatore-Mettupalayam Road at a cost of 85 crores. Pillars are being constructed from the L. M. W division to Samichettipalayam.
The route through the area has pits open for these pillars, alas, they look like pits for people to fall. Those who take the road have to ride close to these pits; a huge challenge and threat. Public has continued to make various allegations for the construction of proper roads.
Continuous rains have also made the roads muddy and slippery which caused a government bus today to run into the mud. Luckily no passengers were injured.
