Residents request Solar powered Barrier fences
Tirupur:Wild Animal attacks are not new to people who live in the areas of Valaparai, Udumalai, and regions in ATR.
However, the threat cannot continue to dwell among the residents, for which the forest department and the government should take proper preventive measures. The death of a goat after being attacked by a wild animal in Udumalai has worried the farmers invariably.
The Ponnalamman Grove is situated near Udumalpet in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve near Thirumoorthy hills where a large number of families live. Along with agriculture, they are increasingly involved in animal husbandry.

A wild animal has hunted a goat grazing in the area, causing panic among the farmers. Leopards wild red dogs and wild cats frequently visit the region and attack human beings and animals repeatedly. They have thus demanded the forest department for the provision of proper security measures and erection of Solar Powered barrier fences.
