The man was reportedly depressed that his wife and child had not returned home after a domestic squabble.
Coimbatore: Manoj Kumar (20), a resident of Somanthuraichittur near Pollachi is a labourer in Coimbatore who lived with his wife Sivabhakiyam and their one-year old daughter.
Due to a disagreement between the couple, Sivabhakiyam reportedly went to her parents' house in Karattupalayam last month. He reportedly tried to commit suicide last month too when sherefused to return home.
After being treated at the hospital following the first suicide attempt, Manoj Kumar went to Karattupalayam on August 31 to pick up his wife to take her home. It is reported that Sivabhakiyam refused to go along with him and a depressed Manoj Kumar ended his life by suicide, hanging himself at his home in Somanthuraichithur. His parents have lodged a complaint at the Kottur police station on Wednesday. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
