Entries invited from school children for ‘Feed by Art’ competition conducted by Chennai's Neighbourhood Foundation

This event is to commemorate World Food Day, which is observed on October 16 to raise funds to support its hunger relief efforts.


In a bid to commemorate World Food Day, which is observed on October 16 and to raise funds to support its hunger relief efforts, Chennai-based Neighbourhood Foundation, a Chennai-based NGO dedicated to health, education, and other social causes, has announced ‘Feed by Art’, a nationwide art competition for school students.

The contest will be organised virtually. Topic for students from class 1 to 3 is ‘no Junk Food’, theme for students from class 4 and 5 is ‘do not waste food’, subject for students from class 6 to 8 and for students from class 9 to 12 is ‘healthy food, healthy planet’. Registered participants can submit their work online. Last date to submit entries is 25 September 2021. The entry fee will be used to serve one meal for three persons and two animals.



Participants will receive an e-certificate. Winners in each category will be awarded with a medal, cash prize and trophies. Additionally, the artwork of the first three winners in all the four categories will be recreated on the walls in one or more metro city.
