Employees demand continual functioning as government sector
Coimbatore: The Life Insurance Corporation of India was established on the 1st of September in 1956. LIC has been savior of many lives since its inception.
The sector observed its 66th anniversary yesterday. In a meeting held at the LIC office in Trichy road, Coimbatore, the employees emphasized that the sector should continue to perform as 100 % government institution.
The employees took oath on the event, “LIC disinvestment is anti-national, let's strengthen LIC, save the nation, 100% of the spread of insurance public sector LIC, India and public sector are people's property”, etc.
“Continuing to function as public sector will help to widen our services”, stated the employees.
