With the cases slightly beginning to escalate, the district corporation has imposed a few alterations in the restrictions in the city
Coimbatore: With the Covid 19 cases increasing, especially in the neighboring state, the district collector Sameeran released new set of restrictions, collectively decided by the administration.
The Government of Tamil Nadu had given full liberty to the district collectors to direct guidelines based on their jurisdiction’s situation.
Coimbatore is situated in close geography, the impact of rising cases in Kerala will first affect Coimbatore. Hence the district corporation has imposed a change of restrictions.
Restaurants and Bakeries will function between 8 and 6 with 50% occupancy and takeaways from 6 to 9.
All kinds of markets, including framers’ Market, will function with 50 % shops on a rotation basis and they have been warned of a close watch. Weekly markets are restricted from functioning. The Pollachi Cow market will not function and all the parks, malls, textiles, jewelry, will be shut on the weekends.
A set of 44 places were listed, where the public crowd. These places shall have only essentials functioning.
The managers of the wedding halls should get permission one week in advance from the respective tahsildars. Failing to do so will lead to taking action against the managers.
Students and the public who enter the city from Kerala are stipulated to produce their vaccine certificates and the Covid19 negative test report (RT-PCR).
