A special camp for the deaf and hard of hearing disabled was held last week in collaboration with the district administration
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Administration; District Collector Dr. GS Sameeran inaugurated the Private Sector Employment, Self-Employment and Skills Development Advisory Center for the Handicapped in the office today.

Collector Sameeran said, 'A special camp for the deaf and hard of hearing disabled was held last week in collaboration with the district administration and charities with the aim of creating employment for the disabled in the private sector as well and 29 people were given employment in the private sector. Following this, a Private Sector Employment, Self-Employment and Skills Development Advisory Center for the Handicapped has been launched todayat the District Collectorate. The center will operate permanently.

Through this center, employment in private companies will be created according to the qualifications and skills of the transferees applying for employment. Also, advice on starting self-employment, ways to get loans from banks and other suggestions will also be provided.'
District Collector Dr. GS Sameeran said that through this, the disabled in the community can achieve economic progress and achieve a better standard of living.
