Schools reopen in Tirupur in strict adherence to Govt. guidelines

Schools and colleges in Tirupur were closed due to Covid-19 lockdown. After the TN Govt's announcement, schools reopened in Tirupur for classes 9 to 12, following all Government guidelines.


Tirupur: Schools in Tirupur reopened after more than a year's pandemic break, in keeping with the TN Government Education Department's directive to reopen all schools on September 1, from classes 9 to 12.

Following this, all Government schools which were special Covid-19 treatment centers were cleaned and disinfected and converted back into classrooms. Students thronged the campuses this morning, were given face masks and had to sanitize their hands after their body temperature was checked at the entrance of the campuses.



Also, classrooms were arranged to seat only 20 students. A total of 1,22,000 students are studying in Classes 9 -12 in 415 schools in the district. 50 percent of them will be allowed to attend school on a rotational basis, as per the facility in schools which will ensure there is no spread of infections.
