The first and second doses of Covishield vaccine will be administered to people over 18 years of age at the vaccination camp.
Coimbatore: A vaccination camp against Covid-19 was held at Valparai in Coimbatore district on August 31.
Following this, the Covishield vaccine is being administered on September 1 at the following places:
Tea plantation areas in Valparai such as Tata (300), BPTC (500), Periya Karumalai Vellamalai Estate (200), Karumalai Estate (100), Nadumalai Estate (150), Shakthi / Thalanar Estate (50), Valparai Government Primary Health Center (50), Assistant Primary Education Officer's Office (100) for teachers. A total of 1350 doses of Covishield vaccine are to be administered today.
The first and second doses of Covishield vaccine will be administered to people over 18 years of age. Those intending to be jabbed with the second dose of Covishield should have had a gap of 84 days, between the first dose and second dose.
Valparai Regional Resource Center Chief, Dr. Babu Lakshmanan said that people in Valparai should avail the vaccination drive being done at the 24-hour vaccination center at Valparai Government Hospital and all those who are yet to be vaccinated should intend to get vaccinated.
