Coimbatore: Various NGOs have been conducting vaccination camps to combat Covid-19 across the state and as part of the campaign, COTMA in Coimbatore has been conducting camps.
The ninth phase of these camps was held at the Krishna Gowder Marriage Hall in Manikarampalayam.
About 500 Microenterprise workers were vaccinated at the camp. Men, women, the differently-abled and elderly visited the camp to get their dose of the vaccines. The hosts had arranged for travel facilities for the elderly and the differently-abled. The event was presided over by Sivakumar, President COTMA and inaugurated by Mani Gowder, owner of Krishna Gowder Hall.
Sivakumar, President COTMA spoke to SimpliCity saying, “As per the guidance of the Government of Tamil Nadu, we are continuing to conduct camps with the Health Department to create awareness among the workers and the poor. I thank the District Collector G S Sameeran and the Health Department for supporting us through this initiative.”
Over 200 family members, including members and executives of the COTMA Association participated in the camp. General Secretary Selvaraj, Co-Chairman J Maheshwaran, Vice President J Puviyarasu and Vice President R Somasundaram and Secretary V.Sudharshan were present at the event. Secretaries T Sakthivel, M Radhakrishnan, B Saravana Sundaram and P Ramakrishnan welcomed the gathering. Karthigai Vasan, GM of District Business Centre was the guest of honor. The camp drew to an end with Saravanakumar proposing the vote of thanks.
