Lord Shri Krishna was decorated for Krishna Janmashtami in the ISKCON Temple near Peelamedu, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Krishna devotees celebrated Sri Krishna Jayanti by singing bhajans and dancing in a circle in honor of the Lord.
Special decorations have been made by the temple administration for the devotees to visit the Lord directly from their homes online.
It is believed that Lord Krishna was born at Midnight and in the evenings it is customary for people to come back to the streets in different guises for children dressed as Sri Krishna and for girls dressed as Radha. On Sri Krishna Jayanthi, it is customary to place footprints from the door of the house to the puja room as if Kannan were coming home as a small child, and to make snacks and worship the Lord.
