Coimbatore: A consultative meeting for the forthcoming Vinayagar Chaturthi festival on September 10 in Valparai, Coimbatore district and the Visarjan procession to be held on September 12, was held at the Hindu Munnani office in Valparai.
Coimbatore: A consultative meeting for the forthcoming Vinayagar Chaturthi festival on September 10 in Valparai,Coimbatore district and the Visarjan procession to be held on September 12, was held at the Hindu Munnani office in Valparai.
The meeting was headed by Sekar and presided over by City President Satish, Union President U Jayan and Union General Secretary C V Ravindrakumar.
Coimbatore Divisional Secretary D Balachandran addressed the gathering as the special invitee. It was decided that 101 idols will be formally consecrated on Vinayagar Chaturthi Day within the stipulated time and the Visarjan procession to be held on September 12 will be held in accordance with the guidelines of the police from the date of consecration to the end of the Visarjan procession.
The meeting was attended by City Secretary Press Balan, Union Secretary Vetri Vel and executives of the Hindu Munnani. At the end of the meeting, City Vice-President S Anand concluded the meeting with the vote of thanks.
