SNS Innovation Hub has organized funding opportunity for start-up in association with IITM, Bioincubator, Chennai and Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), Bangalore.
Coimbatore: A source shared with SimpliCity that the primary focus of the BIRAC's Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) Scheme is to fund individuals and start-ups. As part of this scheme, successful BIG innovators will receive up to INR 50 lakh for each start-up with commercialization potential.
The awareness session that was recently organized was led by Dr Nitya Raman, Program Manager, C-CAMP, Bangalore. The participants were made aware of what is entailed in the journey of a bio entrepreneur and how integrated the BIG partner, BIG associate partner and Bio Nest partners work towards generating an idea for a commercially viable solution.
In the session, major themes that were discussed included medical devices, diagnostics, drugs, agriculture, agri-tech, industrial biotechnology, waste to value with application in the above-mentioned themes.
The Interactive webinar was addressed by Dr. Priya, Senior Manager, IITM Bioincubator, Dr. Nitya Raman, Programme Manager, C-CAMP, Bangalore along with Our Chairman Dr. S. N. Subbramanian, Dr. S. Rajalakshmi, Correspondent, Dr. Nalin Vimal Kumar, Technical Director, and Dr. S. Prakash, Director-Research of SNS Institutions.
