Commissioner Raj Gopal Sunkara IAS visited parks, schools in the Central Zone Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore corporation has been working in full swing in keeping up with the hygiene of the city.
As part of their works, the Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Raj Kumar Sunkara IAS has been visiting various regions in the city overseeing the works of the corporation sanitary workers, their attendance.

He, visited wards 80, 83, Raja Street and oversaw their works. He later stated that the workers should always collect waste bifurcating them, make sure there are no stagnant waters anywhere on the roads.

He also advised them to wear masks and keep themselves safe.

He then visited the Ramanathapuram Higher Secondary School and looked after the cleaning works done as schools are to be reopened on September 1st.

He inspected the infrastructure facilities in the school.

He also visited the children’s park in the area and inspected them.

A roadside shop was sealed for littering the area with plastic and as there were stagnant water in the area of Vilangurichi, Marudham Nagar. A fine amount of ₹.5000 was imposed.

Smt. Parvathi, Assistant Engineer, Mr. Kamalakannan, Regional Health Officer, Mr. Thirumal and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
