Vaccination held in a camp in Pollachi without power supply

Public were vaccinated using mobile phone torches in Kottur Govt School camp as there was no power supply in the vaccination camp

Pollachi: With Schools to be reopened on September 1st, the Tamil Nadu government announced vaccinations to be provided for students, teachers, and parents as well.

A similar Camp was conducted yesterday at Pollachi at the Kottur Government Girls High School for which around 400 people turned up.

The program was delayed as vaccines arrived late. However, the school lacked a proper power supply which led the nurses there to use mobile phone torches for vaccinating the people.

The public raised a request that the respective officers should take responsibility and make proper arrangements during such situations as vaccinating properly is highly important.

"Earlier, it was said that we’d be vaccinated at 2 pm, but the drug only by 4. The Kottur Town Panchayat administration did not provide adequate facilities for the vaccination camp. In particular, the nurses suffered severely due to a lack of lighting facilities. Nurses vaccinated the public till 8 pm in the light of cell phone so that the public would not be disappointed", alleged the public.
