Farmers requested in the online grievance meeting held today
Coimbatore: A grievance meeting was held today through video conferencing, headed by the District Collector Sameeran.
Officers from various departments and farmers took part in the meeting today held at the Northern Agricultural Extension Centre and Southern Agricultural extension Centre.
The Southern Agricultural The Extension Centre building was demolished recently, which served easy for the farmers visiting the office as it was located near the Pollachi Bus stand.
The building is currently functioning at the old building. An announcement has been made to demolish the horticulture center and the extension center, to which the farmers expressed opposition.
“In the interest of farmers, Pollachi south agricultural extension center and horticulture department offices should be allowed to function in union office premises without shifting them elsewhere.”
The farmers also requested to make arrangements for them to increase the production of Coconut trees as the farmers are extremely involved in the cultivation of coconut lately
