Chief Education Officer says all school campuses will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised as they gear up to reopen on September 1.
Coimbatore: Even as schools are gearing up to reopen in Tamil Nadu after a long gap owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, offline classes for grades 9,10,11 and 12 will resume from September 1. All school campuses are being spruced up and sanitized, while desks are being arranged again for resumption of classes.
There are about 658 schools in Coimbatore which will reopen on September 1. All teaching, non-teaching staff and hostel wardens are expected to report back to duty after being vaccinated with at least one dose aginst Covid-19.
'Two students will be made to sit per desk, and teachers should make sure that all students wear their masks. Students have to inform schools if they are sick or anybody in their families fall sick, to avoid any kind of complications,' stated Geeta, the Chief Education Officer.
