Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Mr.Raj Kumar Sunkara inspected the works at rural PHCs and Schools yesterday
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, visited the PHCs, schools at the East Zone yesterday to inspect the treatments and sanitization works at respective places.

He visited areas under wards 59, 60, 61 and inspected the works of corporation sanitary workers. Overviewing their attendance, he stated that the workers should always collect the degradable and non-degradable wastes separately and that the rainwater drains should be kept clean for free flow of water.
They were advised to always get rid of any stagnant water in the surrounding. Most importantly he stated that they should wear masks and sanitize themselves regularly.
He later visited the varadarajapuram high school in ward 64 to inspect the disinfecting works, the infrastructure, as schools are to be open soon. He visited the overhead reservoir in the area and enquired about the civil distribution works.

He then visited the PHC atSowripalayam region, ward 61, and inspected the treatments given in the center.
He inquired about the vaccinations given for mothers and children, prior and post-delivery of babies.
He also inquired about Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Scheme and viewed maintenance records.
Dr. Vasanth Diwakar, Executive Engineer (East) Gnanavel, Assistant Commissioner of Eastern Region Mr. Rangarajan, Regional Health Officer Muruga and Corporation officials were present during the survey.
