Pollachi: A truck carrying yarn bundlescrashed into a compound wall yesterday when the driver tried to take a route through Valparai.
The compound a wall fell off on the public standing nearby when the truck crashed on the wall. The bystanders rushed to the place and started rescuing the injured and informed the Police about the incident. Firemen and police rushed to the spot.
With the help of civilians they rescued six persons, including 4-year-old Nitish, Sivanya,shopkeeper Lucky Kumar and 14-year-old Kishore, who were trapped in the debris and sent them to Pollachi Government Hospital for treatment.
