Coimbatore: Kanaga is 35 years old and works as a tea worker in Urulikkal Estate LT area next to Valparai in Coimbatore district. Her husband Kannan is a lorry driver and they have 2 sons Mahaveer and Sekar. Kannan, who was returning home from work this afternoon after an argument with Kanaga over suspicion, has allegedly assaulted his wife Kanaga with a club.
Kanaga's skull was broken and she suffered a severe fracture. Hearing the screams of Kanaga, neighbours rushed her to Valparai Government Hospital in a private vehicle. There he was given first aid and sent to Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment. Hospital staff informed the police. The police rushed to the spot and registered a case against Kannan. .
