East Division cops arrest him after he tried to rob 1500 kg ration rice.
Coimbatore: Prabhuram (42) was arrested last night after he tried to hoard free ration rice provided by the TN government in his father’s godown.
Obtaining information upon the incident, the police rushed to the place and raided the godown. The Cops seized 1500 kgs of rice and registered a case on the culprit. He was then handed over to the Food Smuggling Prevention team.
The anti-food smuggling police have registered a case against Prabhuram and interrogations are in process.
