Tirupur: In a major accident near Panappalayam village on Coimbatore - Trichy National Highway, a car lost control and collided with a roadside pole injuring 9 people.
Tirupur: In a major accident near Panappalayam village on Coimbatore - Trichy National Highway, a car lost control and collided with a roadside pole injuring 9 people.

According to reports, the car sustained severe damaged and 9 people including a girl, 4 men and 4 women were rushed to hospital by Palladam police who rushed to the spot and rescued those trapped inside the car and sent them to Palladam Government Hospital with the help of 108 ambulances.

The injured were administeredfirst aid and later shifted to Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment.
Vijayaraj, Arumugam and his family from Ganapathy, Coimbatore, had left to Veerapur near Manapparai in Karur district, yesterday ll by car to attend a family function. While returning back, Arumugam and Vijayaraj took turns and drove the car. Between the stretch Panappalayam to Madhapur, Arumugam who was behind the wheels lost control and collided with a pillar on the road.
Initial investigation revealed that all 9 passengers of the car -- Satya Priya, Sabareeswaran, Selvam, Shanthi, Murugeswari, Paramasivam and Dhansika sustained serious injuries. Fortunately no casualties were reported in the crash.
