A Coimbatore City District Union meeting was held at the Maranna Gowder School ground yesterday on behalf of the Hindu Munnani Party
Coimbatore: A Coimbatore City District Union meeting was held at the Maranna Gowder School ground yesterday on behalf of the Hindu Munnani Party, which was headed by Kadeswara C. Subramaniam.
The meeting was preceded by District President Dasarathan. The meeting saw various discussions.
Kadeswara C.Subramaniam primarily stated that the Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations should be wrapped within 5 days, keeping in mind the prevailing Covid pandemic.
He stated that the government should act fast and arrest those who involve in the smuggling of mineral resources to Kerala. He also stated that the government should seize and seal the Quarries that function without proper license.
Condemning the government’s move on making anyone temple priest, he stated that “the idea is appreciable, but it is quite hypocritic to see those who celebrate and reverr Periyaar are the ones stepping into the temples now”. Following that, he commented on the Taliban issue.

State Secretary Kishore Kumar delivered a special address. C. Satish, Kovai Divisional Speaker,A. Krishnan, District General Secretary, M Jaishankar, District Spokesperson S. Dhanapal District Secretaries S.Arusamy S.Maheshwaran G. Ramesh District Vice Presidents M.S.Murali S.Somu and District City Union In-charge were among the 200 participants.
