He was 46, and is survived by his wife and two children. When the city was battling the second wave of the pandemic, this covid warrior put service above self. During, the crisis, he has helped several patients get admissions and get treated at the specialty hospital that he worked for.
Echoing the sentiments that he is gone too soon, those who worked with him recall memories of a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, humorous and hard-working Dr. Krishna Nanda. Among his circle of friends, he is remembered as a man who is strong inside-out.
'We are deeply saddened and shocked to learn about his demise,' a source from the hospital shared with SimpliCity this morning. Dr. Krishna Nanda was in Chennai with his family to attend a family function. According to sources, on Sunday, DrKrishna Nanda had experienced some discomfort in the chest. Without wasting no time, he was admitted to a private-hospital in Chennai where he underwent comprehensive medical tests for ruling out his chest discomfort.
'An angiogram was done on Monday and the results came out clean,' one of his friends told us. On Tuesday, Dr. Krishna Nanda who was ready to be discharged from the hospital experienced a sudden and massive cardiac arrest. A team of experts at the Chennai-based hospital did their best to treat him. His condition only deteriorated. Dr. Krishna Nanda experienced multiple-organ failure on Thursday evening and gave up his battle, early this morning.
'Only six-months ago, he underwent a master health check-up and there were no signs of warning or worry. It is sad that he is gone too soon,' one of Dr. Krishna Nanda’s friends tells us. Messages of condolences poured in from various quarters on social media, since the news of his death broke.
