Coimbatore: The construction of a new departure terminal building similar to that of the Arrival Terminal building has now been cancelled after the tenders were decided for the construction of the same. The tender confirmation was released back in March 2021.
The tender for prepaid taxis has also been cancelled. The estimate of the new building was 125 crores and the reports say that the construction of the new building had a huge expectation just as the Arrival Terminal building has.

Similarly, the tender for prepaid cabs has also been cancelled. The cabs served useful to the travelers as they found them convenient as they were immediately available.
According to the Airport Director Mr. Senthil Valavan, “The tender for the newly planned departure terminal construction work has been cancelled due to administrative reasons. The tender for prepaid taxi has also been cancelled due to failure of participants to submit the required documents as per the norms”
