Police have been vigilant with regard to keeping a constant watch on lorries and trucks, especially to clamp overladen vehicles in order to curb accidents in the district. "On the orders of the District Superintendent of Police, S Selvanagarathinam, prompt action against erring vehicles is being taken,” stated police officials.
Complaints from public are also being registered through mobile numbers - 9498181212 (control room) and 7708100100 (WhatsApp).
