Coimbatore: Pollachi traffic division police were involved in vehicle checks on Tuesday and blocked a truck in Pollachi that was overloaded and slapped a fine amount of Rs. 32,340.

Police have been vigilant with regard to keeping a constant watch on lorries and trucks, especially to clamp overladen vehicles in order to curb accidents in the district. "On the orders of the District Superintendent of Police, S Selvanagarathinam, prompt action against erring vehicles is being taken,” stated police officials.
