Online applicants and taxpayers stuck due to delay in integration work in Coimbatore Corporation's portal.


Coimbatore:Due to delay in new software integration in the Coimbatore Corporation's portal, tax collection and other online services have been suspended for more than a week.

Citing ongoing software integration works, the Corporation had announced supension of tax collection between August 9 to 15. Due to this, all forms of tax payments and other online services like application for new water connection includingpayment of property tax, drinking water tax were non-operational.

While it has earlier announced that online services will resume from August 16th, the Corporation has now announced that due todelay in the software integration process, all online services will resume only after August 23. The new announcement has caused much inconvenience and confusion amid the people.

Especially,people who are waiting to obtain permission to setup cracker shops for the upcoming festivities are unclear, as the last date for filing application is on August 21. They have requested the Corporation to clarify on the issue and requested to extend the deadline.
