The Tamil Nadu Government employees staged a protest at Pollachi taluk office premises; Demand cancellation of new pension scheme amongst other demands
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Government Employees Union staged a protest at the Pollachi taluk office premises demanding the cancellation of the new pension scheme for Tamil Nadu Government employees and the fulfillment of demands of Government employees including the payment of suspended allowances.
The protest was led by Subramanian, Deputy Chairman, Tamil Nadu Government Employees Union, and supported by Marimuthu, District Secretary and Kalimuthu, District Head, School Education Department. During the protest, the DMK government raised slogans calling for the immediate implementation of welfare schemes for civil servants, as promised in the assembly election.
The Government Employees Union has stated that it is holding protests in all circles to draw the attention of the Tamil Nadu Government since no announcement has been made in this regard thus far. They also hoped that the demands of the Government employees will be met during the Tamil Nadu Assembly session.
